He was born in Kabul in 1967. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. He started his medical education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. He completed his ophthalmology specialization between 1993-97 and became an expert. He worked on microsurgery and cataract phaco surgery at the Feyederov Eye Institute in Russia. He started working as an eye specialist at Artvin State Hospital in 1998. He performed the first phaco surgery and scleroplasty surgery in Artvin. He served as Chief Physician of Artvin State Hospital between 2003 and 2006.

He founded the Izmir European Eye Center between 2006 and 2007, and the Asian Eye Diseases Branch Center in 2008. He has been working as the Chief Physician in the institution that continues its activities under the title of Asian Eye Medical Center since January 22, 2013.
